Administrative Assistant


Location:

Job Description:

Do you enjoy managing predictable workflows and keeping things running like clockwork?  CIC is on the hunt for a sharp Administrative Assistant to support our Chief Services Officer (CSO) — a true organizational powerhouse with top-notch communication and customer relationship skills. You’ll be the go-to person working hand-in-hand with the CSO and Education Teams, keeping things running smoothly behind the scenes.

Core Responsibilities:

  • Assist CSO by scheduling internal and external meetings and conference calls, and maintaining complex calendars as needed.
  • Produce accurate, appropriately formatted documents and correspondence.
  • Demonstrate strong decision-making skills and provide recommendations on and implement policy and process improvement opportunities.
  • Plan, direct and coordinate activities of designated projects to ensure goals and objectives of the project are accomplished within a prescribed timeframe.  These projects may include administrative, report analysis, providing customer follow-up for implementation tasks, etc.
  • Manage scheduling of CIC’s training resources.

Required Skills:

  • Relevant professional work experience. Five (5) years or more relevant experience preferred.
  • Candidate must have experience in Microsoft Office environment and tools (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and Outlook).
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with a strong ability to communicate effectively with executive level management, customers and internal staff.
  • Ability to multi-task and manage multiple priorities.

K-12 Student Software Support Representative


Location:

Remote in CO, IA, IL, KS, MO, NE, or WY. Applicants must reside in one of these states to be considered for this position.

$45,000 - $60,000 annually depending on experience and qualifications

Job Summary:

Note: This is a software support role focused on Student Information Systems used in schools — NOT hardware, network admin, developer, or general IT support.

CIC is looking for Education Support Coordinators with excellent communication and people skills to support our web-based student management software for K-12 School Districts. The primary responsibility is to deliver top-tier support to our customers while quickly and accurately troubleshooting their issues. The desired candidate must be self-directed with the ability to work independently while also collaborating on issues as a team.

Qualified candidates must be able to work under pressure and handle a multitude of support calls from K-12 personnel. As a key player on this team, you'll be delivering top-tier support to our clients, managing requests, troubleshooting software issues, and working closely with other CIC teams to escalate and resolve complex challenges.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Learn CIC’s products (Infinite Campus and Tableau) and act as a Support Resource for CIC’s Customer Help Desk system.
  • Resolve an average of 10 – 15 Support Calls per day with an average response time of 35 minutes or less and an average resolution time of 35 minutes or less.
  • Ensure that customer support calls are handled in a timely manner and are not stagnant for more than 72 business hours.
  • Ensure that less than 10% of total calls are escalated to external resources.
  • Handle / resolve after hours support calls as necessary.

Government Support Programmer


Location:

Remote in CO, IA, IL, KS, MO, or WY.  Applicants must reside in one of these states to be considered for this position.

The Government Support Programmer is responsible for resolving complex, high-priority software support issues escalated by front-line support teams. This role requires strong programming expertise, excellent problem-solving skills, and the ability to analyze and debug code quickly to resolve critical customer issues in a timely and professional manner. The position serves as the technical bridge between customer support and the development team to ensure issue resolution and customer satisfaction.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Investigate and resolve advanced software issues escalated from Tier 1 and Tier 2 support teams.
  • Debug source code and perform root cause analysis to identify and fix bugs or provide detailed guidance to development.
  • Log and track all escalated issues and resolutions using internal ticketing system resolving calls within 45 minutes or less. 
  • Prioritize and manage multiple high-urgency issues simultaneously. Ensure that 95% of calls are handled within 72 hours or less.
  • Create documentation for recurring escalated issues and contribute to internal knowledge bases.

Required Qualifications:

  • Associate’s or Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or related field (or equivalent experience).
  • 2+ years of professional programming experience, preferably in a support or maintenance environment.
  • Proficiency in VB.NET, ASP.NET, and SQL databases.  Experience with VBA and/or VB 6.0 helpful.
  • Proven experience debugging and supporting software applications.
  • Familiarity with SQL and database troubleshooting.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
  • Ability to work independently and manage time effectively under pressure.

Product Design Lead


Location:

Remote in CO, IA, IL, KS, MO, NE or WY.  Applicants must reside in one of these states to be considered for this position.

As Product Design Lead, you will set the design direction for our SaaS transformation. Reporting to the CTO, you will ensure our new suite delivers intuitive, consistent, and customer-centered experiences. 

This is a hands-on design leadership role: you will shape UX standards, guide product squads with design thinking, and work closely with product managers, developers, and customer-facing teams. Over time, you will have the opportunity to expand into broader product leadership responsibilities, with an emphasis on product strategy. 

Key Responsibilities:

  • Design & User Experience Leadership

    • Establish and own the design vision, systems, and standards for our SaaS suite.
    • Drive UX consistency across multiple products, ensuring a seamless customer experience.

Required Qualifications:

  • 10+ years of experience in product design, UX, or interaction design; at least 3+ years in a lead or principal role. 
  • Strong portfolio showcasing SaaS product design, design systems, and end-to-end UX delivery.
  • Fluency in design and prototyping tools (Figma, Sketch, Adobe Illustrator, etc.). 
  • Experience conducting and synthesizing user research and usability studies. 
  • Solid grasp of information architecture, interaction design, and visual design fundamentals. 
  • Track record of collaborating successfully with product and development teams. 
  • Excellent communication skills; able to tell the story of design decisions to technical and non-technical stakeholders.
