Government Peopleware Support Coordinator

This is a telecommuting / remote employment position however prospective employees must be located in one of CIC’s territory states – Colorado, Illinois, Kansas or Missouri

CIC is looking for dynamic, tech-savvy individuals to join our Government Peopleware Support Team. You'll be at the forefront of supporting our Records Management, Budgetary/Fund Accounting, Tax Administration, and Payroll/Personnel systems for cities and counties across multiple states.

As a key player on this team, you'll be delivering top-tier support to our clients, managing requests, troubleshooting issues, and working closely with other CIC teams to escalate and resolve complex challenges. You'll also take charge of coordinating all production incidents and proactively handling system alerts to keep everything running smoothly.

Core Responsibilities:

  • Learn CIC’s products and act as a Support Resource for CIC’s Customer Help Desk system.
  • Log and track all support requests in a helpdesk ticketing system, maintaining accurate and up-to-date records of issues and resolutions.
  • Install, and update software applications, and hardware peripherals.
  • Escalate complex or unresolved issues to Tier 2 or Tier 3 support teams, ensuring timely and accurate handoff.
  • Assist in maintaining and updating IT documentation, knowledge base articles, and standard operating procedures.
  • Resolve an average of 8 – 12 Support Calls per day with an average response time of 40 minutes or less and an average resolution time of 40 minutes or less.
  • Ensure that customer support calls are handled in a timely manner and do not lie stagnant for more than 72 business hours.
  • Ensure that less than 15% of total calls are escalated to external resources.
  • Handle / resolve after hours support calls as necessary.

Required Skills:

  • Degree in Accounting, Business, or Equivalent Experience
  • Knowledge of Servers or PC networking
  • Candidate must have experience in Microsoft Office environment and tools (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and Outlook).
  • Proven experience in a customer-facing technical or software support role or relevant experience.
  • Excellent communication and customer service skills, with a patient and empathetic approach to problem-solving.
  •  Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a fast-paced environment.
  • A strong commitment to maintaining confidentiality and data security.

Government Peopleware Support Specialist

This is a telecommuting / remote employment position however prospective employees must be located in one of CIC’s territory states – Colorado, Illinois, Kansas or Missouri


Job Summary:

Are you an accounting professional or do you have experience supporting customers who use accounting, payroll, or tax software? Do you have a background in city or county government administration? CIC is seeking skilled individuals with these backgrounds to join our Government Peopleware Support Team!

In this role, you’ll provide critical support for software systems such as Records Management, Budgetary/Fund Accounting, Tax Administration, and Payroll/Personnel, used by cities and counties across multiple states. You'll work directly with local governments to resolve software issues, manage inquiries, and collaborate with internal teams to ensure smooth operations.

If you love problem-solving, have a strong attention to detail, and are passionate about helping local governments succeed, this is the perfect role for you!

Core Responsibilities:

  • Master CIC’s software products to provide exceptional support for customers using our Help Desk system.
  • Log, track, and resolve support requests in a helpdesk ticketing system, ensuring accurate documentation of issues and resolutions.
  • Assist clients with troubleshooting for accounting, payroll / personnel and tax administration systems.
  • Escalate unresolved issues to advanced support teams and follow through to ensure customer satisfaction.
  • Proactively manage production incidents and system alerts to minimize downtime.
  • Resolve an average of 10–15 support calls per day, maintaining a response and resolution time of 35 minutes or less.
  • Ensure customer support calls are resolved within 72 business hours and keep escalations below 10%.

Required Skills:

  • Degree in Accounting, Business, or Relevant Experience in Accounting, Payroll, or Tax Software Support (equivalent experience will be considered in place of a degree).
  • Experience with Microsoft Office tools (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and Outlook).
  • Proven experience in customer-facing technical or software support roles.
  • Strong communication and problem-solving skills with a customer-first attitude.
  • Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a remote environment.

System Administrator

Work Environment:

This position is a hybrid position where canidates will work in the Greeley, CO office and at home, with occasional requirements for after-hours or weekend work for system maintenance and upgrades.


Job Summary:

Are you a natural problem solver with expertise in solving hardware and network issues? Do you enjoy sharing your expertise with a variety of technical levels of users? If so, we have just the opportunity for you!  The Network Administrator position is responsible for installing and supporting in-house and customer hardware, operating system / connectivity, and application software.  This exciting and challenging position will put you in a position to directly impact the productivity of our employees and customers.   

Core Responsibilities:

  • Maintaining and optimizing CIC’s network and Cloud performance for customer remote processing.
  • Technical support for CIC personnel and customers with hardware, software, and connectivity issues.
  • Monitor network to ensure optimal performance.
  • Maintains quality service by following organizational standards.
  • Manage disaster recovery and back-up.
  • Evaluate and recommend security improvements and system upgrades.

System Administration Supervisor

The System Administrator Supervisor is responsible for overseeing a system administrator and ensuring the effective operation, maintenance, and security of the organization’s IT infrastructure. This role involves managing daily operations, providing technical guidance, and leading projects that enhance system reliability and efficiency. The System Administrator Supervisor will also play a key role in developing IT policies, ensuring compliance, and supporting the professional growth of their team.

Key Responsibilities:

  • System Management & Maintenance:
    • Oversee the installation, configuration, and maintenance of servers, networks, and other IT systems.
    • Ensure that system performance is optimized and that any issues are promptly identified and resolved.
    • Manage and monitor cloud services and virtualization environments.

Technical Development Coordinator - Education Team

This position is a telecommuting / remote employment position however prospective employees must be located in one of CIC’s territory states – CO, IA, IL, KS, MO, NE or WY


Job Description:

The Technical Development Coordinator position is responsible for data conversions and custom programming for customers using the Infinite Campus Student Information System.  This exciting and challenging position will provide you with an outlet to exercise your passion for developing, and put you in a position to directly impact the lives of Education personnel.   

Core Responsibilities:

  • Program for eight (8) or more simultaneous application development projects
  • Complete project investigations including reporting findings and estimated hours
  • Complete general and detail design specifications
  • Complete coding and documentation per general and detail design specifications
  • Participate in and complete unit testing / resulting object corrections as required
  • Generate appropriate distribution media and distribute / install objects for completed projects
  • Act as a technical escalation support resource for CIC client help desk

Required Skills:

  • 3-5+ Years Microsoft SQL Server scripting and SQL Server Reporting Services (SSRS) experience
  • 3-5+ Years Java / Java Scripting experience 
  • MIS or Computer Science Degree or equivalent software development experience

Technical Development Coordinator - Government Team

 Job Summary:

The Technical Development Coordinator is responsible for providing technical assistance, troubleshooting, and code maintenance for existing software applications. This role involves working closely with developers, QA teams, and end-users to resolve issues, implement minor enhancements, and ensure that software applications perform optimally. The Support Programmer plays a critical role in maintaining the stability and reliability of the software while contributing to ongoing improvements.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Technical Support & Troubleshooting:
